Now that we have celebrated Easter, there is much to look forward to, both in the Church and in nature.
On Saturday 9th May starting at 10am there will be a working party in the churchyard and garden, and also inside the church. Please do come and lend a hand!
Ascension Day this year falls on Thursday 14th May. It occurs on the 40th day of Easter and commorates the bodily ascention of Jesus into heaven, and its observance is of great antiquity in the Christian calendar.
Looking ahead, the Summer BBQ will be on Saturday 13th June. Further information is below. Not only will this be a fun occasion, but also an opportunity to say goodbye to our beloved Rector, Reverend Philip Hawthorn, who will be retiring soon. His last service at St Mary's will be on Sunday 21 June.
