St Mary’s Charlcombe is a very special place to get married. It is the oldest surviving religious place in Bath and is connected to Jane Austen and Henry Fielding.
Being a small country church it suits smaller occasions as it can seat a few without feeling remote and yet, at a pinch, we can seat 70. We have a garden and holy well connected to the church and lots of slopes which make great settings for wedding party photographs.
Whilst only a 10 minute drive from the city centre, its seclusion and great age adds to the wonderful sense of peace and stillness here. Many people have left touching comments in the visitors’ book, appreciating the calm and quietude.
We are blessed with a caring, deep thinking and highly enthusiastic clergy who will take a deep interest in you and your path to your very special day. We are often told that we provide a perfect blend of solemnity and joy.
